REAL STICK / REAL SPACE

PLAY WITH
ROOM TO MOVE.

Your stick, puck and surroundings are physical. A virtual boundary does not cover every place your equipment can reach.

CHECK YOUR SPACE

Stick at rest.
Look around.

Check the floor and the full reach of your body, blade, shaft and the back end of the stick. If passthrough is unclear or an area is hidden, lift or remove the headset to inspect it. Do not swing to test clearance.

GIVE A HEADS-UP

Let people
know.

Tell anyone nearby before starting. Keep people and pets outside your full movement area. Do not start if someone could enter unexpectedly or you cannot maintain clear space.

STAY IN CONTROL

Keep it low.
Stop for hazards.

Use controlled, floor-level movements. Stop the stick and pause if anyone approaches, the object escapes, or the view or tracking looks wrong. Virtual targets do not authorize real shots.

A short warning before Start.

“Please stay clear, I’m about to play!”

Say it to anyone nearby, then look around before starting. A warning is not enough if someone remains within reach. There is no voice recording or microphone check for this acknowledgement.

Choose the room and equipment carefully.

Supported dimensions are still being tested. The website’s 10 × 8 ft planning target is not a certified safe area or a guarantee of camera coverage. Read the playspace guide.

How the game supports safe play.

The development build includes a passthrough room-check screen and checks for acceptance status, headset interruptions and tracking conditions before covered play. These controls still need physical-device validation before release.

We do not claim to detect every bystander, pet, obstacle or hazard. Passthrough may be incomplete or unreliable. Tracking can lose the puck, a virtual guide can be misplaced, and an automatic pause may be late or fail. The software cannot physically stop your stick or puck.

After a headset or application interruption, the flow asks for a fresh room check and setup. Stop yourself whenever the real situation is unsafe, even if the game appears ready. Follow your headset’s current safety instructions: Meta Quest health and safety warnings.

If something changes, stop first.

Stop moving the stick and pause. Once stationary, inspect the real room; lift or remove the headset if the view is unclear or incomplete. Address the hazard and repeat the required setup before continuing. Do not chase an escaped puck or ball while wearing the headset. Do not play while impaired, unsteady or too fatigued to control your equipment.

Report a problem or safety incident.

For an urgent situation, contact local emergency services. For a game issue or incident, stop using the affected feature and contact support@puckarcade.com. Include the app version, equipment and floor setup, and what happened. Avoid sending unnecessary personal information about bystanders.

Optional in-headset problem reports share diagnostics only when you choose to submit them. Room camera images and audio recordings are not attached to those reports. Read about information handling.

Review the agreement before purchase or play.

The draft includes a release of the player’s own claims involving the operator’s ordinary negligence where lawful, and a limited indemnity for the portion of harm caused by the player’s own wrongful conduct. Non-waivable rights and bystanders’ independent claims remain. Reading this website does not accept the agreement.
